How does the process work?
It begins with a free 20-minute video consultation to discuss your needs. This is followed by two in-person appointments: the first for a detailed exam and 3D scan , and the second for your final fitting and to receive your personalized home exercise plan.
Are the materials safe for my skin?
Yes. All splints are made from materials that meet ISO 10993 standards for biocompatibility. This means they have been tested to be non-toxic, non-irritating, and skin-friendly.
Can I use my insurance to pay for the splint?
All custom splints are eligible for insurance reimbursement, and a detailed superbill will be provided for you to submit to your carrier. Payment may also be made using Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Accounts (HSA).
Who is a good candidate for a custom splint?
My clients range from young kids with recent injuries to older adults with chronic hand issues like arthritis. If you are dealing with conditions like wrist instability, carpal tunnel, sprains, or fractures, a custom splint can be an excellent solution .
Do I need to be in New Jersey/Tri-State Area?
For custom hand and wrist splints, in-person appointments for scanning and fitting are necessary, so you must be local.
